Klopf, William J., St. Charles, Michigan

Beloved husband and father passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014. Age 70 years. Son of the late John and Katherine (Taugher) Klopf, William was born February 23, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietman War. William married Phyllis Wiktorowski, his loving wife of 48 years, on July 24, 1965. She survives him. William was owner and operator of Frontier Auto Sales. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hemlock. William was a member of the Fordney Club for many years. Bill loved to restore and race old cars and enjoyed hunting. Surviving besides his wife Phyllis are one daughter, Heather Klopf and Bill Rappley, St. Charles; one son, John Klopf, Fountain Hills, Arizona; three brothers in law, Tom and Sharen Wiktorowski, Dan Wiktorowski, and Greg Wiktorowski; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 151 St. Mary’s Drive, Hemlock. Rev. Fr. Duane Wachowiak will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery with Military Services conducted by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00-7:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
