Kaczmarek, Margaret J., Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Luther Manor. Age 103 years. The daughter of the late John and Marie (Frydryczyk) Garsky, Margaret was born June 19, 1911 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Walter A. Kaczmarek on July 3, 1937. He predeceased her June 2, 1996. Margaret was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone for many years until retirement. She was an active member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church (formerly St. Josaphat Catholic Church) and it’s Altar-Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Carrollton Senior Citizens and St. Josaphat Senior Citizens. Margaret enjoyed knitting, going to bingo and watching baseball and football. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Surviving are two daughters and their spouses, Mary Ann and Robert Kimball, Saginaw; Suzanne and David Rehmann, Carrollton; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Kaczmarek, Auburn Hills; seven grandchildren, Michael Kimball, Julie (Keith) Kubiak, Nicholas (Brenda) Kaczmarek, Anthony (Trish) Kaczmarek, Rebecca (Chad) Feldotte, Brian (Brook) Rehmann and Brenda Rehmann; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by a son, Robert Kaczmarek, and a brother, Chester Garsky. Margaret’s family extends their gratitude and appreciation to Community Village for their loving and compassionate care. Margaret truly loved calling Community Village her “home”. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Josaphat site). Rev. Fr. James Bessert will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and at St. John Paul II Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The St. John Paul II Altar-Rosary Society will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. There will be a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Friday.
