Jaenicke, James Paul, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Age 74 years. The son of the late Carl and Helen (Kuse) Jaenicke, Jim was born February 27, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #439. Jim married Marcia Hayes, his loving wife of 53 years, on April 15, 1961. She survives him. He had owned and operated J. Jaenicke Heating Company in Saginaw for 21 years until his retirement in 2003 and was a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #85. Jim was a member of the Fordney Club. He enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing and spending time at the cottage at Houghton Lake. Most of all, he loved good conversation and spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife Marcia and one daughter and one son, Lisa Jaenicke, Saginaw; James Paul Jaenicke II and Dana Kiczenski, Bay City; one granddaughter, Emily; three sisters and one brother, JoAnne and Gerald Cieszlak, Judy and Bernard Purman, Carol and Joseph Stricker, Robert and Linda Jaenicke; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Jackie Hayes; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard E. Jozwiak will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery where military honors will be presented by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. www.snowfuneralhome.net
