Hernandez, Raymond “Ray”, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at St. Mary’s of Michigan. He was 78 years old. Raymond was born on February 18, 1936 in Tuscola County, Michigan to the late Francisco and Marta (Mendoza) Hernandez. He married Pamela Barclay in April of 1975; she survives him. Ray retired after 40 years as crane operator for Clinkston & Sons. Ray enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and pool. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Pam; two daughters: Virginia Zarazua and Angela Hernandez and fiancée, William Brethhauer; seven grandchildren: Miguel, Jesus, Alecea, Angel, Grace, Nicolle, and Jacob; two favorite sisters-in-law, Michelle Valenzuela and MaryGrace Emerson; special niece and nephews: Dawn Cirne, Mark Valenzuela, and Albert Valenzuela; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister: Joseph, Henry, and Mary; and sister-in-law, Renee Barron. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State). Pastor Tim LaVere will officiate. Cremation will follow. Private burial will follow at a later date at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
