Goldberger, Anita, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Shattuck Manor with her family by her side. She was 95 years old. Anita Weiman was born on March 10, 1919 to the late Louis and Sophia “Goldstein” Weiman. She married the late Manuel B. Goldberger, D.O., who was a physician in Saginaw for 50 years, on September 24, 1942 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was a Life Member of the Temple B’nai Israel, Sisterhood, Hadassa and Temple B’nai Israel Welfare Federation, a Life Member of Saginaw County Osteopathic Auxiliary, Advocates for the Michigan Osteopathic Association, and Anita and Manny were long time members of the Saginaw Country Club. When the temple closed, she became a member of the Temple Beth Israel in Bay City. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, knitting, Sudoku, playing bridge, and being on her computer. Surviving are her three sons: Andrew B. Goldberger of Three Rivers, Senior Judge Kim H. Goldberger (Susan) of Denver, CO, and Jan M. “Lynette” Goldberger, D.O., of Saginaw; one grandson, Dory “Virginia” Goldberger of Canton, MI; and two great-grandchildren: Kaitlin (3) and Elwood (1). She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel B. Goldberger, D.O. and two brothers: Willard Weiman and Irvin Weiman. The family wishes to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Mark Kuligowski, D.O. and his staff, as well as the Wellsprings staff for all of the passionate care and support provided by all. Honoring Anita’s wishes, cremation and private memorial service has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State).
