Friske, Mary Ann, Bridgeport, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. Age 78 years. The daughter of the late Rheinbold and Irma (Kleinbreil) Trier, Mary Ann was born October 26, 1936 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Leonard Friske, her loving husband of 58 years, on June 16, 1956. He survives her. Mary Ann was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (St. Christopher Site). She was employed at St. Luke’s Hospital for many years until her retirement in 1993. Mary Ann enjoyed tending her flower gardens, sewing, bowling, baking and loved spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband Leonard are three daughters, three sons and their spouses, Kathy and Tom McDonald, Birch Run; Michael Friske, Bridgeport; Alan Friske, Lapeer; Steven and Leanne Friske, Frankenmuth; Lynette and Tom Remenecz, Burt; Julie and Jeff Bressette, Hope; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elaine and Gerald Singer, Vassar; Jane and Dennis Fritz, Pinconning; Barbara Frigmanski, Wayland; many extended family members both living and deceased. Mary Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Trier. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (St. Christopher Site). Rev. Fr. John Mancini, O.S.F.S, will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. There will be a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
