Fisk, Barbara (Chobad), Saginaw, MI, Naples, FL


Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Age 72 years. The daughter of the late Buhl and Margaret (Switalski) Mathewson, Barb was born on August 11, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan. Barb was employed by Delphi until her retirement in 2002. She married James Fisk in 2002. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, gambling and gardening. But most of all being a devout Catholic, she walked through life as Jesus did, and lovingly and generously gave her all to everyone she met. Surviving besides her husband James, are her children, Linda (Rich) Revard, Mark (Kelli) Chobad, both from Kansas; Craig Chobad, Saginaw; four grandchildren, Ryan, Alex, Noah and Lizzy; a brother, Mark Mathewson; a sister, Janet Mathewson; her two feline companions, Pooky and Pistol. Barb was preceded in death by two children, Joey and Crissie Chobad. Honoring Barbís wishes, she was a donor to Gift of Life of Michigan and cremation will follow. Liturgy of the Word will take place on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Bridgeport. Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge will officiate. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
