Eurich, June E., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Passed away Thursday July 24, 2014. Age 79 years. June Emma Whitby was born August 20, 1934 in Middletown, New York to the late Benjamin and Emma (Gruber) Whitby. She married the love of her life, Louis W. Eurich August 28, 1955. June knew Louis most of her life and they shared 59 years together and adopted five children. He survives her. June traveled to many foreign countries due to her husband's military career. She was involved with many orphanages in Germany during her travels. After Louis' military career, they returned to Saginaw and June became a licensed daycare provider. It is estimated that she provided care for 95 children during this period and dearly loved caring for these children. She later volunteered at Covenant Healthcare and earned over 4000 hours of service. June also loved playing cards at the Eleanor Frank Senior Center and the Moose Lodge. She was a member of Hopevale Church. Surviving besides her husband are her children; Susan (John) Rieker, David (Marie) Eurich, Linda (Joel) Lucsy, Debbie Eurich, and Jim (Marsha Sherman) Charette, eight grandchildren; Jennifer (James) Allenstein and their daughter McKinley, Jason Eurich, Ashley Rieker, Shawna (Ben) Reichard, Andrea Lucsy, Anecia Eurich, Anthony Lucsy, and Breonna Tate, and many other loving family members and friends. June was predeceased by her daughter Donna, and five brothers. Pastor Mike Garner will officiate the funeral service on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (S. M-47). Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to gather with the family at the funeral home on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 p.m., and on Saturday one hour before the funeral. Memorial offerings are suggested to Hopevale Church-Vacation Bible School.
