Dubay, Thomas W., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 80 years. The son of the late Clifford and Beulah (Siler) Dubay, Tom was born on October 8, 1934 in Merrill, Michigan. Tom married Lila Basner on May 17, 1958. She survives him. He served in the United States Army. Tom was a Heat and Frost Insulator for Local #47 for more than 35 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Member of Knights of Columbus Council #4232. Tom enjoyed many sports including basketball and was the star player on his high school basketball team. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. Tom and Lila have spent the last 22 years wintering in Sarasota, Florida. Surviving besides his wife Lila are two daughters and one son, Sheryl (Richard) Alger, Saginaw; Denise Dubay, California; Thomas II (Terry) Dubay, Saginaw; seven grandchildren, Kathryn (Thomas), Gina, Elizabeth (Kevin), Rebecca, Brett, Jena and Jordan; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Carter, Caraline and Coleton; two brothers, Kenneth (Maxine) Dubay and Daniel (Joan) Dubay. Tom was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, James Dubay and Elizabeth O’Brien. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate with entombment to follow in St. Andrew Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 .m. and on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
