DeLeon, Jean M., Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away at home following a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Age 85 years. Jean M. Hoefling was born on January 24, 1929, in Saginaw, to the late Phillip and Julia (McGowan) Hoefling. She was married to Teodoro DeLeon, Jr. and he predeceased her on November 2, 1972. Surviving are her three children, Teodoro (Pamela) DeLeon III, of Wisconsin; Louise Andrews, Saginaw; Sue (Joseph) LaPierre, Saginaw; 9 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren; one sister, Bonnie Haller, AuGres, MI, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 11 sisters and brothers; also her son-in-law, Ron Andrews. Prior to her retirement, Jean was employed as a Training Aide for the State of Michigan. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Jean enjoyed all kinds of music, especially Country and Hymns, and loved watching the old John Wayne movies. In accordance with Jeanís wishes, cremation has taken place and her private burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Saginaw Childrenís Zoo or the Salvation Army. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
