Dark, Lois M., Saginaw, Michigan

Loving mother and grandmother passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 82 years. Daughter of the late Leo and Myrtle (Maul) Kaczmarek, Lois was born October 25, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Edward L. Dark on November 3, 1951. He predeceased her November 19, 2011. Lois was employed at Auburn Bean and Grain as a secretary. She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church and enjoyed arts and crafts. Surviving are two sons, Leo M. Dark, Saginaw; Mark and Donna Dark, Severn, Md.; four grandchildren, Melanie and Philipp Born, Stephanie and David Phillips, Theresa and Christina Dark; her brother, Robert L. and Renee Kaczmarek, Freeland; several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at The Cartwright Hospice Residence for the love and support they have given. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway. Rev. Wayne Hoedt will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at Resurrection Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
