Brin, Gladys Ann, Saginaw, Michigan

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 surrounded by her family. Age 61 years. Daughter of the late James and Annie (Ray) Carlisle, Gladys was born June 25, 1953 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was married to Michael J. Brin on December 28, 1994. He survives her. Gladys was a loving homemaker who loved to cook. She enjoyed taking cruises, watching wrestling, going to the shows and especially enjoyed life. Surviving besides her husband Michael are one daughter and two sons, Diane (Roy) Williams, El Dorado, Arkansas; Eric (Jennifer) Brin, Saginaw; Jason (Alison) Brin, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Ebony Flannigan, Riley Elizabeth Brin, Rodney (Corey) Smith, Jacob Michael Brin, Kingston Miles Williams; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Carlisa Flannigan; seven sisters, Dorothy (Joseph) Grace, Saginaw; Annie (Cordell) Newman, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Mary (Willie) Johnson, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Marietta (Willie) Patton, Saginaw; Gloria (William) Jackson, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Linda (Rodney) Woods, Saginaw; Lorraine Carlisle, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; three brothers, Alonzo Carlisle, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Robert Carlisle, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Rodney Carlisle, Saginaw; and many loving nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her sister, Earlene Turner. Honoring Mrs. Brin’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Gladys’ Life will take place on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Spiritual Israel Church, 120 S. Fifth Ave., Saginaw. Pastor Roy Williams will officiate.
