Belill, Thomas L., Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved father passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 at his home. Age 64 years. The son of the late Morris and Marion (Levan) Belill, Tom was born on July 26, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan and was raised in Birch Run. He married Kay A. Mayer on May 8, 1971. She predeceased him on September 22, 2010. Tom was employed by Malleable Iron in Saginaw for 33 years retiring in 2004. Tom was a long time member and Eucharistic Minister and was on the prayer line at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, attended morning mass and went to dinner monthly with fellow parishioners. Tom was also a member of U.A.W. Local #466 and attended monthly union dinners. He enjoyed golfing with his sons-in-law, meeting for dinner on Tuesdays with a grief support group, but most of all loved spending time with his family. Tom was always there to help his family in any capacity that he could. Tom was very spiritual and devoted to prayer to the Virgin Mary. Surviving are two daughters, Barbra and Daniel Meyers, Debra and John Curtis, all of Saginaw; four brothers and two sisters, Roger (Joyce) Belill, John (Ann) Belill, Robert Belill, Richard (Lucy) Belill, Mary Ann (Michael) Loynes and Patricia (Thomas) Dorr; many nieces and nephews and his faithful canine companion, Ozzie; three grand cats. Tom was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, Timothy Belill and Pamela Belill. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to The Food Pantry at SS.
