Andrusik, Helena, Saginaw, Michigan

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre. Age 90 years. Daughter of the late Francis and Franczyszka (Bahula) Babraj, Helena was born August 15, 1924 in Koblele, Poland. She was married to Stefan Andrusik on April 11, 1948. He survives her. Helena was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. Surviving besides her husband Stefan are her daughter, Lottie and Brayton Stephens, Saginaw; four grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa) Karides, Lisa Karides, Trisha Karides, Eric (Rachel) Stephens; and three great-grandchildren, Emma, Lexie and Chloe Stephens. Helena was preceded in death by two daughters, Christina Karides and Darlene Andrusik, one grandson, Brian Stephens, two brothers and one sister. A special thank you to the staff at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre and 7th floor at Covenant HealthCare Harrison. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Helen site, 2445 N. Charles St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Ronald F. Wagner will officiate. Honoring Mrs. Andrusik’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
