Yeomans, Vern C., Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away with family at his side on July 24, 2013. Age 78 years. He was born on August 1, 1934, in Saginaw, to the late Arthur and Cora (Larkin) Yeomans. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley (Huber) Yeomans. Vern served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1956, during the Korean War. He retired from U.S. Graphite after 37 years of service. In his free time he enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. Surviving are their children, Deborah (Steven) Witt, Freeland; and Denise (Daryl) Jensen, Frankenmuth; five grandchildren, Bret and Shannon Witt, Stephanie Witt, Lindsey and Zachary Eickhoff, Jill Jensen, and Tyler Jensen; siblings David (Ina) Yeomans, Winnie (Bob) Porath, Barbara (Larry) Rosinski, Nancy (Doug) Anderson and the late Bernice (Ron) Kraft. Visitation with the family is scheduled for Friday, July 26, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, then on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Walter Yeomans will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
