Williams, Richard Jae (Dick), Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at his home. Age 76 years. Son of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Greenleaf) Williams, Richard was born August 25, 1936 in West Branch, Michigan. He married Ruth J. Newman, his loving wife of 57 years, on June 9, 1956. She survives him. Dick owned and operated Dick Williams Gun Shop Inc. since 1967. He was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Saginaw, Promise Keepers, lifetime NRA member and area gun clubs. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and especially his family and his God. Surviving besides his wife Ruth are two daughters, one son and their spouses, Deborah and Michael Weadock, Freeland; Douglas and Linda Williams, Bridgeport; Jennifer and Jon Schindler, Kawkawlin; two sons-in-law, Rick Bosserdet and Daniel Malzahn; eight grandchildren, Erika and Taylor Weadock, Leah (Scott) Grigonis, Sarah (Keenan) Albers, Jessica and Zachary Bosserdet, Shelbey and Madison Malzahn; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Sophia Grigonis; several nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by two daughters, Pamela Bosserdet and Sandra Malzahn and a brother, Jerome Williams. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 1209 Hancock, Saginaw. Pastor Susan Hand will officiate with burial in Spaulding Township Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
