Wendland, Ada E., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013. Age 93 years. Ada Evelyn Bailey was born April 11, 1920 in Saginaw to the late Charles and Mary (Diment) Bailey. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Saginaw and a member of the former St. Luke's Hospital Auxiliary. Ada also belonged to the Merry Wives Club. She loved to crochet and donated her work to various charities. Surviving are one son and two daughters; Lawrence (Sandy) Wendland, Nancy (Arthur) Podgurski, and Ada (Ron) Gilginas, ten grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. Ada was predeceased by her son Ronald Wendland, two brothers; Jim Bailey and Robert Bailey, and two sisters; Elizabeth Sowulewski and Beatrice Letson. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (S. M-47). Chaplain Doug Bassett will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour before the service on Saturday.
