Walbert, Theresia, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Covenant-Harrison. Age 93 years. Theresia Laubenstein was born on June 6, 1920, in Yugoslavia, to the late Philipp and Rosalia (Stoekel) Laubenstein. She was married to Henry (Heinrich) Walbert on January 29, 1949, in Mauerkirchen, Austria. He predeceased her on November 25, 2001. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in Housekeeping at St. Luke’s Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Surviving are her two children, Walter Walbert and Brigitta Black, both of Saginaw; six grandchildren, Stacy Hajdu, Laura and Eric Walbert, Amy Lintner, Brandon and Brady Black; four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Emily and Kathryn Hajdu, and Lauryn Black; her sister, Anna Schmidt; many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Hans, Nicholas, Danny and Phillip Laubenstein, and two sisters, Katherine Armbruster and Elisabeth Riffert. Funeral and committal services will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. David Naumann will officiate. Burial will be held later in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
