Velez, Lollie Summer, Saginaw, Michigan

Our precious baby, Lollie, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Age 7 years. Lollie loved to play games on her phone and Ipad. She had many talents including singing, painting and telling jokes. With so much love and generosity in her heart, on March 26, 2013 Lollie donated her own beautiful hair to the Locks of Love Program. Surviving are her beloved adopted parents, Michael and Vanissa Flores, her birth parents, Tito and Roseanna Velez; six sisters, Stephanie, Alexandria, Michele, Alexis, Danielle and Breanna; her grandmother, Lollie Velez; her best friends, Amia, Breanna, Kenny and Chico. Lollie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tito Velez, Betty Velez, Eddy Lopez and Romana Gonzalez. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the 2nd Floor of the Hurley Children’s Hospital. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Harvest Assembly of God Church, 625 S. 17th Street in Saginaw. Pastor Cynthia Flores will officiate with burial to take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family will share memories of Lollie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family. Pink and purple were Lollie’s favorite colors, so the family requests that you wear pink or purple to the visitation and funeral in her honor.
