Vadovich, Betty Jane, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Carriage House of Bay City. Age 89 years. The daughter of the late Benjamin and Esther (Chevalier) Peters, Betty was born September 2, 1923 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Robert Vadovich on May 7, 1943. He predeceased her April 21, 2004. Betty lived in Michigan until 1993 when she and Robert moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Betty was employed as a dietician for numerous hospitals, schools and restaurants. She enjoyed cooking, baking, golfing, sewing and gardening. Betty was very active with the Red Hat Society. For her 50th birthday, Betty learned to fly an airplane. Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Vadovich-Green, Bay City; Dianne Brost, Grand Rapids; five grandchildren, Stacey (Mike) LaBrake, Ty Kundinger, Haley (Nathan) Stowe, Rob (April) Brost and Jim Brost; four great-grandchildren, Taylor and Logan LaBrake, Rylie and Addison Stowe. Betty’s family would like to thank with much appreciation and gratitude the staff of the Carriage House of Bay City. She had the most caring and loving staff on East-North, that went above and beyond to provide loving care. Honoring Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Mausoleum. Rev. Ken Parker will officiate.
