Mary passed from this life all too soon on Friday November 8, 2013 at Covenant Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Age 68 years. Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on October 13, 1945, Mary was the middle daughter of Harold and Catherine Giesecke. Mary attended Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, where her father was the principal, graduating with the Class of 1963. The couple later married on June 26, 1965 and made their home in Saginaw, moving out to the country in the 1970s after beginning a family and building their dream home together. Mary lived life to the fullest, and besides loving and raising her three children as a homemaker, partook in a number of other interests and hobbies. This included her love of animals, dogs especially, fishing and camping with her family, quilting and gardening, and garage-saling.
