Surian, Richard Paul, Muskegon, MI, Formerly of, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, dad and grandpa passed away April 4, 2013 in Muskegon, Michigan. Age 66 years. Son of the late Frank and Elaine Surian, Richard was born October 6, 1946 in Saginaw. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Rick married Sheila M. Kostrzewa on October 5, 1968. She survives him. Rick was employed by General Motors retiring in 1996 after 31 years of service. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed Michigan Sports especially U of M. Surviving besides his wife Sheila are one daughter, one son and their spouses, Jennifer A. and Shawn Bride, Muskegon; Matthew P. and Nadia Surian, Norfolk, Virginia; five grandchildren, Emily, Rebecca and Noah Bride, Federica and Alessandro Surian; two sisters, Kimberlee and Matt Sujkowski, Barbara and Kevin Luczak; two brothers, William J. Surian and his life partner, Jody Garrett, Donald and Janice Surian; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ted and Tiny Kostrzewa; his brothers-in-law, Robert and Kathleen Kostrzewa, Mark and Darcy Kostrzewa; sister-in-law, Laura and Chris Eisenhauer; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his grandmother, Venna Walker. Honoring Richard’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends may join in A Celebration of Rick’s Life on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at White Crow Music Conservatory, 3736 Mackinaw, Saginaw, Michigan.
