Stajdl, Phillip John, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his home. Age 68 years. Son of Frank and Bernice (Nielsen) Stajdl, Phillip was born January 20, 1944 in Lakeview, Michigan. He married Linda M. Gnatkowski on October 12, 1968. She survives him. Phillip was employed at Grey Iron Foundry as a patternmaker for over 45 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, craftsman and enjoyed working and restoring cars in his younger years. Phil enjoyed family get togethers, playing cards and watching sports. Surviving besides his wife Linda are two sons and one daughter, Michael and Deb Stajdl, Saginaw; Scott Stajdl, Saginaw; Kelly (Matthew) Robertson, Elwell, Michigan; his parents, Frank and Bernice Stajdl, Saginaw; two granddaughters, Kayla Stajdl and Megan Robertson; a great-granddaughter, Jade Lynn Gulick; his brother, Paul and Janine Stajdl, Saginaw; two sisters Susan and Gary Vance, St. Charles; Christine Stajdl, Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. Honoring Mr. Stajdls wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Rob Richards will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
