Santino, Luciano F., Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Covenant HealthCare Harrison Campus. Age 79 years. Son of the late Frank and Sarah (Fulco) Santino, Luciano was born February 11, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army. Luciano married Kathleen Mikulewicz, his loving wife of 32 years. Luciano was employed at C & O Railroad retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #593 and Sons of Italy. Surviving besides his wife Kathy are two daughters, one son and their spouses, Lisa and Ken Kaufman, Kim and Jeff Hollingsworth, Jim and Holly Santino; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jacqueline Dyer, Anna Zaragoza; two brothers, Ralph and Mary Santino, Joe and Lola Santino; several nieces and nephews. Luciano was preceded in death by his daughter, Marisa Santino, and three sisters, Frances Egerer, Mary Walker and Theresa Compton. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Thomas Schmied, OFM Cap. will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00-8:30 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil service will take place at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
