Robinson, Bette Jean Ann, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother passed away peacefully Monday, November 18, 2013 at Caretel Inns of Tri-Cities. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Grant and Lillian (Reiman) Wade, Bette Jean was born April 2, 1923 in Saginaw, Michigan. Bette Jean married Eugene Robinson on November 27, 1943, they were blessed with 69 years of marriage. Eugene preceded her on March 8th, 2013. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and its Altar Society and the Legion of Mary, and a Charter Member of Maple Hills Golf Club. Bette Jean enjoyed singing, music, dancing with her husband Gene, sewing, knitting, china painting and golfing. Most of all Bette Jean loved being surrounded by her family. Surviving are one son, five daughters and their spouses, Grant (Doris) Robinson, Saginaw; Suzanne Robinson, Saginaw; Diane (Michael) Barnes, Saginaw; Karen (Tim) Cherry, Bay City; Jeannie Robinson, Saginaw; Janice Robinson and Janette Becker, Palm Bay, Florida; six grandchildren, Amy (Brad) Schwanbeck, Brian Robinson, Daina (Rod) Diefenbach, Ashley (Chad) Helmer, David (Alejandra) Barnes, Kelly (Nicholas) Hamilton; nine great-grandchildren, Haley Robinson, Peyton Schwanbeck, Owen and Greer Diefenbach, Breeghan, Michaela and Spencer Mae Hamilton, Finn Eugene Helmer and Natalia Jean Barnes, several nieces and nephews. Bette Jean was preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Beth Robinson, and by two sisters and two brothers, Marceil Mann, Elayne McInerney, Don and Jim Wade. Bette Jeanís family extends their thanks and appreciation to Caretel Inns of Tri-Cities. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with interment at St. Andrew Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home. Friends may call at St. Stephen Catholic Church where the family will be present on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of Mass.
