Reisinger, Robert L., Midland, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center. Age 89 years. The son of the late Jacob and Christine (Hoy) Reisinger, Bob was born November 27, 1924 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a member of the American Legion Post in Sanford, Michigan. Bob was previously married to Sara Jane (Pat) Kelly. Bob later married Beatrice Walsh on July 8, 1976. She survives him. He owned and operated his own contracting business, Bob Reisinger Builder, in the Saginaw area until 1981. Bob then moved to Florida and continued working until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of Saginaw Lodge #77 F&AM and the Saginaw Home Builders Association. Bob was a pilot and had flown for over 50 years. He built his own air plane and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He enjoyed singing and was a member of the Barber Shop Harmony Society and Midland Men of Music. Surviving besides his wife Beatrice three sons, one daughter and their spouses, Mark and Shelia Reisinger, Freeland; Alan and Jaye Reisinger, Freeland; Bruce and Char Reisinger, Highland; Jane Kochmer, Indianapolis, Indiana; 10 grandchildren, Carrie (Pam), Terra (Brian), Christopher (Karen), Nicholas, Jamie (Robert), Sara, Michael (Mara), Robin (Brian), Clare and Laura; nine great-grandchildren; step-children, Patricia, Timothy (Nancy), Daniel (Teresa), Janet (Bill), Theresa and John; several step-grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Grant, Florida; two brothers, Charles Reisinger, Florida; Jim (Patrice) Reisinger, Pinckney, Michigan; several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Kochmer, and by four sisters and two brothers, Florence Leonard, Katy Lynn, Jan Cooper, Eleanor, Bill and Howard Reisinger, and by two step-children, Michael and Brian. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Elizabeth Retz will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens where military honors will be present by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. The Masonic Lodge #77 F&AM will conduct a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
