Ott, Thomas G., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at his home. Age 78 years. The son of the late Frederick and Nelda (Devers) Ott, Tom was born on January 16, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Barbara M. Krys on May 7, 1955. She survives. Tom was employed by Saginaw Steering Gear as a Lab Technician for 32 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and K of C Council #4232. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, high school and college sports especially Notre Dame. Surviving besides his wife Barbara are two sons and one daughter, Terrence and Linda Ott, Onalaska, Wisconsin; Patrick and Rebecca Ott, Lake Worth, Florida; and Lori and Raymond Foster, Dewitt, Michigan; six grandchildren, Chelsea (Aaron) Salas, Sarah Ott, Benjamin Ott, Katelyn Ott, Raymond Foster and Sydney Foster; one great-grandson, Hunter Salas; two brothers and three sisters, Donald Ott, Saginaw; Patricia Trombley, Traverse City, Sandra and Gerry Deike, Peoria, Arizona, George and Connie Ott, Manistee and Sue and Don Hammis, Saginaw. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Marcel Portelli will officiate. Honoring Mr. Ott’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, or National Shrine of St. Jude, Chicago.
