Miller, Barbara L., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at her daughter’s home. Age 85 years. The daughter of the late Stanley and Beatrice (Sickles) Allan, Barbara was born December 19, 1927 in Orion Township, Michigan. She married Maynard G. Miller on November 15, 1946 in Angola, Indiana. He predeceased her August 20, 2000. Barbara was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone Company for over 42 years until her retirement in 1986 and was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Barbara enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard, gardening, playing Euchre, the Detroit Tigers and fishing. Most of all, she loved being with family and spending time at Wiggins Lake. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tim Muter, Saginaw; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Steven (Jaclyn), Becky, Maggie, Rylei, Madelyn, Levi and Ava; a brother, Don Allan, Evart; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Federspiel, Stefanie and Jim Leslie, Bonnie and Jack Miller; several nieces and nephews; her dog, Benji. Barbara was preceded by two brothers and one sister, Gerald and Orville Allan and Ada Weber. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00-5:00 p.m. and at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service, led by Sister Margo Tafoya, M.S.Sp., will take place at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
