Malachowski, Andrew, Bridgeport Township, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home. Age 77 years. Son of the late Joseph and Kazimiera (Kurzacz) Malachowski, Andrew was born April 22, 1936 in Wilno, Poland. He served in the U.S. Army. Andrew married Irene B. Wojcik on December 31, 1962. She survives him. Andrew was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear as a job setter for 43 years. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Andrew enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife Irene are two daughters and two sons, Bozena and Eugene Bennett, Bridgeport; Joseph and Kimberly Malachowski, Henderson, Nevada; Mark and Kimberly Malachowski, Bridgeport; Alice and Richard Rogers, Bridgeport; eight grandchildren, Sara, Hailey and Dustin Bennett, Timothy and Alexis Malachowski; Andrzej Malachowski, Cody and Chase Rogers; one sister, Barbara and Henry Jerzyk, Chicago; one brother, Christopher and Marcia Malachowski, Florida; several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Hospice of Michigan and the staff of University of Michigan Hospital for the love and support they had given. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christopher Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John Mancini, O.S.F.S. will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday at St. Christopher Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. The Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
