Lutz, William G., St. Charles, Michigan


Passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013, at Chesaning Nursing Care. Age 72 years. Bill was born on January 28, 1941, in Saginaw, to the late John G. and Esther (Brown) Lutz. He was married to Bonnie Jean Confer on November 18, 1961, in Saginaw and would have celebrated 52 years of marriage this month. Bonnie survives him. He was employed by General Motors as an engineer for 47 years, retiring in 2006. Bill was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Saginaw, an Amateur Radio operator and a Boy Scout leader. Surviving besides his wife, Bonnie, are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, John Lutz, Madison Heights, MI; Dr. William (Patricia) Lutz, II, Whitehouse, OH; Dr. Anta (John George) Ling, Climax, MI; five grandchildren, Scarlet, Kurtis, Kyle, Madison, and McKenzie; many nieces and nephews; one brother, James Lutz, Saginaw. Memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Road. The Rev. Mark Buckert will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the Saginaw County Animal Care Center.
