Lutenski, Gloria A., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 85 years. The daughter of the late Thurlow and Helen (Houlihan) Hopkins, Gloria was born August 13, 1927 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She married Alexander E. (Kelly) Lutenski on September 24, 1949. He predeceased her May 30, 2002. Gloria retired as a Supervisor for the U.S. Department of Agriculture with 30 years of service retiring in 1983. Gloria was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She was also a member of the League of Catholic Women, NARFE and RASCOE. Gloria enjoyed her antique glassware. Surviving are one son, Daniel K. Lutenski and special friend, Patti Siminske; two granddaughters, Kelly Lynn Lutenski and her fiancé Matt Damsen; Shannon and Dennis Darabos; four great-grandchildren, Madelynn Lutenski, Maxwell Damsen, Quinn Darabos and Kennedy Darabos; one sister and one brother, Mary Lou (Ed) Nab and James (Dorothy) Hopkins; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. James G. Heller will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 until time of Mass. There will be a Vigil Service, led by Fr. Richard Jozwiak, on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Cartwright Hospice Residence.
