Leuenberger, Dennis Charles "Charley", Saginaw, Michigan


Beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center Palliative Care Unit. Age 79 years. Son of the late Wesley and Catherine (Jarema) Leuenberger, Dennis was born July 2, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean Conflict. He was married to Ann Ballingash on February 27, 1960. She predeceased him on November 10, 1995. Charley was owner and operator of Liberty Pattern retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Charles J. Leuenberger, Bay City; Julie Peck, Loveland, Colorado; two grandchildren, Dylan and Colin Leuenberger; two sisters and two brothers, Catherine and Clarence Davis, Saginaw; Rose and Mike Davenport, Saginaw; Wayne and Marilyn Leuenberger, Adrian; Bruce and Carol Leuenberger, Saginaw; several nieces, nephews and special friends, especially Ruth Lorenzo and Family. Charley was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Leuenberger. The Leuenberger family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Anna Bartnik , Julie Csongradi and the entire Palliative Care Team for all the care, love and support they have given. Honoring Mr. Leuenberger’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Mr. John Stanley will officiate with Military Services conducted by the Unites States Army.
