Gumban, Reynaldo, Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his home. Age 78 years. The son of the late Dioscoro and Leonila (Piamonte) Gumban, Reynaldo was born on July 16, 1934 in Pototan, Iloilo City, Philippines. He married Aniceta Sabolboro on March 3, 1966. She survives. Reynaldo worked for the Philippine Government as a Forester for 41 years until his retirement in 1994. He came to the United States in 2000 to be with his family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife Aniceta, are two daughters and one son, Joseph Gumban, Dipolog City, Philippines; Rose (Jeff) Afante, Saginaw; Roselle Gumban, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Juliann, Andrew, Lynne Ross, JR, Anika; three brothers and four sisters. Reynaldo was predeceased by a son, Reynan Gumban in 1996 and by a grandson, Joshua. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in the Philippines. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
