George, Rosemary A., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late George and Martha (Ryba) Gotowka, Rosemary was born October 27, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was employed at J.C. Penney for 22 years until her retirement in 1996. Rosemary was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the American Business Women’s Association-Pine Tree Chapter. She enjoyed watching hockey, especially the Detroit Red Wings and the Saginaw Spirit. Most of all, Rosemary loved being with her family and friends. Surviving are two daughters and one son, Sharon K. Gunther, Mentor, Ohio; Rodney George, Nashville, Tennessee; Judy George, Saginaw; four grandchildren, Kari Gunther, Carl (Amy) Gunther, Christopher (Jennifer) Gunther and Travis (Rebecca) George; five great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Carl Jr., Nicholas, Mason and A.J.; a brother, George and Velma Gotowka Jr.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. There will be a Prayer Service at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Rosemary always thought of other people’s needs first. In her memory, you are encouraged to do a special deed for someone special in your life.
