Garchow, Patricia J., Carrollton Township, Michigan

Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center-Cooper surrounded by her family and friends after a hard fought battle with cancer. Patricia J. Simmons was born on November 10, 1954, in Saginaw, to Raymond and Gladys (Sonnenschein) Simmons. She was married to Edward W. (Easy Eddy) Garchow on August 10, 1973, and he predeceased her on February 26, 2008. She was employed at the Saginaw Intermediate School District and Carrollton School District. She enjoyed camping, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are two children, Greg Garchow, and Jodi (Mike) Brady; parents, Raymond and Gladys Simmons; two brothers, Robert (Cheryl) Simmons, Gary (Rita) Simmons; nieces and nephews, Craig Simmons and Mark (Kim) Simmons, and their sons, Ashton and Teegan, Kelly (Christopher) Wood, and their children, Chloe and Zachary, Christie (Dustin) McElroy, and their sons, PJ, Hunter and Finnigan, and Jeff (Jennifer) Simmons and their children, Kathleen, Cayla, Marissa, Levi and Shelby; special friends, Michael and Diane Feldotte; two brothers-in-law, Martin (Patricia) Garchow, and Steve (Darlene) Garchow; niece Tami (Kevin) Keysor, and their children, Tessa and Andrew, and nephew Brett (Tabitha) Garchow, and their children, Hunter and Logan; step-father-in-law, William Richard, his two sons and two daughters, Kevin and Bryan Richard, Cheryl (Jim) Lamont, and Cindy Greskowiak; several step-nieces and nephews; and Godson, Tim Karlsen. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00-8:00 p.m., then on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
