Foerster, Marion C., Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at her home. Age 91 years. She was born on September 4, 1921, in Saginaw to the late Earnest and Selma (Renke) Pickelman. She was married to Gerhardt (Gary) Foerster on October 24, 1942, at Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw. He predeceased her on August 3, 1975. Marion graduated from Saginaw High School in 1939. Prior to her retirement, Marion was employed at Lufkin Rule for 15 years and later Deluxe Cleaners and Goodwill Cleaners. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church for 50 years. Surviving are four sons and their spouses, Lester C. (Lorie) Foerster, Dennis G. (Helene) Foerster, Paul A. (Sue) Foerster, and James M. Foerster; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Prueter and Lois (William) Fiebig; also several nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Hilma Dankert. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and brother, Norman Pickleman. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Moe, Shannon, Kim and Brooke for their loving care of Marion. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw. The Rev. C. William Weis will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Monday from 2:00-8:00 p.m., then on Tuesday from noon until the time of service.
