Finke, Emily L., Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Luther Manor. Age 98 years. Emily Louise Rader was born on February 10, 1915, in Saginaw to the late Charles and Louise (Wittenberg) Rader. She married Walter A. Finke on September 20, 1941. He predeceased her on May 9, 1963. Emily had worked at Ipples. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Surviving are her children, Jane Beier, Saginaw, and Larry (Janet) Finke, Freeland; three grandchildren, Craig (Bridgette) Finke, Eric Finke, Lynn (Jonathon) Herzberger; five great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Collin Finke and Benjamin, Madelyn and Aiden Herzberger; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers John and Elmer Rader, and one sister, Esther Hauman, and one son-in-law, Ralph Beier. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss St. The Rev. Michael R. Korte will officiate. Entombment will be in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., on Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m., then at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran School.
