Eads, Thelma Nadine, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 24, 2013. Age 96 years. Thelma Nadine DeVore was born August 29, 1916 in Edgar, Nebraska, She married Samuel D. Eads. He preceded her in death December 24, 1994. Nadine was a secretary and historian for many years for First Christian Church West, and later for Michigan Avenue Baptist Church. She was active with the Red Hat Society at Hoyt Nursing Home and was the Lakeside Village Cookbook coordinator. Nadine loved camping and was a member of Good Sam's Club. She also enjoyed bowling. Surviving are two sons and their families; Douglas G. (Catherine) Eads and Evan D. (Vicki) Eads, her grandchildren; Brent (Kathy) Eads, Jeremy (Jenny) Eads, Mandi (Jayson) Childs, and Leslie (Richard) Thompson, seven great grandchildren, her brother Bernie (late Virginia) DeVore, and her sister Helen (Richard) West. Funeral and committal service will take place on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (S-M47). Rev. Jean O'Brien will officiate. Private entombment will take place at Roselawn Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until the time of funeral.
