Blehm, Ruth E., Saginaw, Michigan

Loving mother and grandmother passed away Monday, November 4, 2013. Age 91 years. Daughter of the late Ira and Beatrice (Stremple) Truckner, Ruth was born August 25, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Harold (Harry) Blehm on October 14, 1944. He predeceased her February 5, 2011. At age 17 Ruth won a scholarship to art school and was an accomplished, awarded and commissioned Portrait Artist. She founded and co-owned Beas Gifts and Ceramics and taught at three area Senior Citizens Centers, Audra Francis, West Side Saginaw and Freeland Senior Citizens Centers. Ruth enjoyed her children, grandchildren, traveling vacations, her art, remodeling and having her family together often. Surviving are two daughters and their spouses, Joan and Gerald Langenegger, Clearlake, California; Carol and Terry Henkel, Saginaw; four grandchildren, David S. and Cindi Galonska, Saginaw; Meri and Jeff Kizer, Grand Rapids; Terry Henkel Jr., Saginaw; and Renee Hussar, Sacramento, California; her sister, Shirley Conrad, Birch Run; many nieces and nephews especially Pat and Bill Baucknecht and Bob and Sue Barowski. Ruth was preceded in death by her son David P. Galonska and five sisters and three brothers. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Douglas Kahl will officiate with private burial in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
