Villegas, San Juanita, Saginaw, Michigan

Loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital. Age 68 years. Daughter of the late Jose and Catarine (Ortega) Quiroz, San Juanita was born October 29, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Guadalupe Villegas. He survives her. San Juanita was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo and especially loved her family. Surviving besides her husband Guadalupe are three sons and five daughters, Victor and Linda Castro, Guadalupe and Lisa Villegas Jr., Alberto Villegas, Tracy and John Glynn, Irma Castro and her husband Alex Sosa, Ida Villegas, Stephanie and Eduardo Mata, Jennifer Villegas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially Alexander (Shanon)Villegas, Ezekiel Castro and Joel (Lecicia)Castro in which she raised; five sisters and two brothers. San Juanita was preceded in death by her daughter Ana Frazier, her son Lucas Castro, one sister and two brothers. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Thomas Schmied, OFMCap. will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00-7:00 p.m. and at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family wishes.
