Taylor, Ralph A., Saginaw, Michigan

Mr. Taylor passed away in Auburn Michigan. He was born in Saginaw March 19, 1917 to the late Ralph and Lillian (Arnold) Taylor. He married the former Kathryn White on October 21, 1941 and they recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. Ralph was a teacher, mentor, and buddy to his family. He was employed with Helfrecht Machine Co for more than 45 years. He was active with Tool Engineers, United Way, was Past President of YMCA Saginaw and their Men’s Club, and was instrumental in establishing Camp Timbers. He was a man of many hats. He built his own house, restored a 1926 Model T, was a wood carver, but most of all he was a friend to all. Always there to help. His greatest joy was playing with his family at his lake house. He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne (George) Anderson; his grandchildren, Kellie (Steve) Doyle, Kammy Dashner, and Kristoffer (Sarah) Anderson; his great grandchildren, Jessica and Ashley McGregor, Madison and Taylor Dashner, Keegan Doyle & Andrei Anderson; great-great grandchild, Kamya McGregor; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Kathryn on November 23, 2011, his brothers William and Robert, his sister, Laura, his brother & sister in law, William and Ferne Perrin. A celebration of Life for Ralph & Kathryn will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the Auburn United Methodist Church, 207 S. Auburn Road, Auburn, MI.
