Stefanovsky, Fred, Zilwaukee, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at his home. Son of the late Joseph and Mary (Masar) Stefanovsky, Fred was born on December 22, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan. Fred married the love of his life, Betty Krzyminski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Bay City, Michigan. Fred worked at the CSX Railroad as a car repairman retiring after 43 years of service. He was an avid supporter of his children and grandchildren’s activities. Fred served on the Board of Appeals for the City of Zilwaukee and was a member of the swimming club at Sherwood Elementary. He enjoyed planting his flower garden in the front yard. Surviving besides his wife Betty are their four children and grandchildren, Luke and Martha Stefanovsky and their son Derek , Alma; Joe and Lisa Stefanovsky and their children Nathan and Aaron, Holland; John and Deanne Stevanovsky, Bay City; Judy and Mike Alarie and their children James and Lindsay, Bay City; one sister, Wilma Szok , Saginaw; brothers-in-law, Jim (Carolyn) Krzyminski and Dan (Penny) Krzyminski, Bay City; Richard Kosecki, Kawkawlin; sister-in-law, Elaine Mills, Venice, Florida; a brother-in-law, Raymond Burba, Saginaw; several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Fred was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Burba; two brothers, Alfred and Francis; sister-in-law, Joan Kosecki and brother-in-law, Fred Mills. The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to Dr. Bartnik and Dr. Rajoulh as well as Southern Care Hospice. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate. Entombment will take place at Mt. Olivet Mausoleum at 1:00p.m. Friday. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and at St. Matthew Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service, led by Sister Janet Pewoski, SSJ, will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Southern Care Hospice or the Leukemia Foundation. Fred will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
