Smith Jr., William H., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away Friday, February 24, 2012, at his home. Age 78 years. William Smith Jr. was born July 29, 1933, to the late William H. and Linda (Klugas) Smith in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Carol Neuman in 1955, and she survives him. He was employed as a wood pattern maker, retiring from GM Metal Castings after many years. He also owned U-Do Auto Repair and Hardwood Pattern. William was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his cabin on Canada Creek Ranch. Surviving besides his wife are his sons, Ronald and Brian (Theresa); a granddaughter, Samantha; a brother-in-law, James Harmon; a sister-in-law, Nila (Milton) Spaude; and several nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his sisters, Betty Harmon and Audrey (William) Kabobel. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1020 Court St. Pastor William Brassow will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the Church on Tuesday from noon until the time of service. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy may consider either St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or the charity of their choice.
