Sliwinski, Frank A., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. Mary of Michigan Medical Center. Age 95 years. The son of the late Frank and Katherine (Blazejewski) Sliwinski, Frank was born April 8, 1917 in Carrollton, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Frank married Euphemia A. (Faye) Kensa on July 4, 1944. She predeceased him August 16, 2003. He was employed at Eaton Manufacturing for 42 years until his retirement. Frank was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and enjoyed perch fishing and being with his family. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, David and Beth Sliwinski, Saginaw; two grandchildren, Nicole and Jason Sliwinski; two sisters-in-law, Gertrude Worral and Christel Kensa; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends including Nancy Kelly who regularly visited Frank and brought him communion. Frank was preceded in death by one sister and one brother, Mary Czerwinski and Joseph Sliwinski. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery where military honors will be presented. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home. Friends may call at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church where the family will be present on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
