Schulz, Frederick “Hooker”, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at McLaren, Bay Region. Age 83 years. Fred was born in Saginaw, Michigan May 22, 1929 the son of the late Frederick and Lena (Kreuchauf) Schulz. He married Patricia Schrader July 31, 1954 and she survives him. He served in the United States Army. Fred was retired from the City of Saginaw, where he served as an assistant superintendant for the waste water treatment plant. He was an avid softball player and coach and spent many years as a high school referee and umpire. In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by four children, Pam (Mike) Neiss, Shar (Gary) Miller, Bill (Joanna) Schulz and Bob (Elizabeth) Schulz; six grandchildren, Kyle, Shelby, Maddie, Zach, Brandon, and Megan; and a sister, Doris Fresorger. The committal service will take place on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dr. Robert Emrich will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, on Sunday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the American Heart Association.
