Schrank, Alice E., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Saturday evening, October 27, 2012, at St. Francis Home at age 101 years. Alice E. Socier was born August 5, 1911 in Bay City, MI to the late Victor and Edith Socier. She was married to Willard C. Schrank on October 12, 1940. He predeceased her on September 30, 1982. Alice was a life member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling, playing guitar and singing in the “Sounds of Harmony”. Most of all she loved her family. Surviving are two sons; Richard and Arleen Schrank, Gerald and Patricia Schrank; a grandson Scott and Kristy Schrank; two grandchildren Carly and Nathan Schrank and many nieces and nephews. Two very caring and special nieces, Betty Michaels and Shirley Wotchko, will dearly miss her. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, 612 N. Michigan Ave. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate. Visitation will take place at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 500 N. Michigan Ave., on Tuesday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service. Memorials can be considered to St. Francis Home.
