Sampson, Margaret B., Freeland, Michigan

Passed away Thursday evening, December 20, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical center in Saginaw at the age of 81 years. Margaret was born August 1, 1931 in Fairgrove, MI to the late Fred and Rosie Feinauer and has resided in this area all of her life. She was united in marriage to Richard Sampson on November 3, 1951, and they were blessed with 61 loving years of marriage. Marge was known for her love of baking, her hard work, and her many years of farming. She was a faithful member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Richard, four sons and one daughter, Terry, Dennis (Nancy), Tim (Karen), Greg (Lynette) Sampson, and Dawn (Craig) Beresford; seven grandchildren, Jamie (Mike), Terry (Cindy), Sean, Cody, Cambray, Kimberly, and Kendra; two great grandsons, Tyler and Lucas. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert and Clarence Feinauer. Funeral and committal services will be held on Sunday December 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Freeland. Rev. Spencer Biga will officiate with burial to follow in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, 310 E. Washington St., Freeland, on Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Sunday from noon until time of service. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked those wishing to an extend an expression of sympathy to consider St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Freeland or the donor’s favorite charity.
