Renteria, Julia, Saginaw, Michigan

Our loving wife, mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord Friday, November 9, 2012 at Cartwright Care Center, age 89 years. Julia Aranjo was born in Gonzalez, Texas the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Macias) Aranjo. She married Francisco Renteria in 1953 and he survives her. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Julia enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and many types of craft activities. She loved to travel. In addition to her husband, Julia is survived by eight children, Raymond Moreno, Connie (Richard) Castillo, Maria (Ignacio) Lopez, Milo (Carol) Moreno, Antonio (Maria Elena) Moreno, Robert (Maria) Renteria, Ruben Renteria and Francisco Renteria, Jr.; a nephew, Gilbert Gomez, whom she raised from the time of his birth; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jesse and Kenneth Aranjo; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Francisca Moreno; a nephew, David Gomez, whom she also raised from the time of his birth; a brother, Fernando Aranjo and a sister, Maria Luisa Gomez. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road. Rev. Fr. David Parsch will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where they may join the family for a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service.
