Paquette, Bonnie Jo, Bay City, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 56 years. The daughter of Russell Dowis Jr. and the late Jean (Kennedy) Dowis, Bonnie Jo was born May 8, 1955 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1974 and earned her nursing degree in 1984. Bonnie Jo married Luke Paquette, her loving husband of 21 years, on July 7, 1990 in Fayettesville, North Carolina. He survives her. Bonnie Jo devoted her life to taking care of people; first in the nursing field and then in her own home. She had owned and operated Aladiah’s Assisted Living for the elderly. Bonnie spent years in the critical care units, medical surgical units and home health care, always taking care of others. Surviving besides her husband Luke are one daughter and two sons, Amanda Paquette, Saginaw; Chad and Stacey Darabos, Bridgeport; Jason Paquette, Orlando, Florida; seven grandchildren, Darren, Chad Jr., Ashley, Michael-Anthony, Hainite, Jordan and Taylor; four sisters and three brothers, Jacqueline Dowis, Saginaw; Ginny and C.J. Latty, Bay City; Yvonne and Mark Sopcak, Freeland; Roger and Cindy Dowis, Midland; Ron Dowis, Saginaw; Russell and Donna Dowis, Saginaw; Margo Dowis, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews. Bonnie Jo was preceded in death by her grandson, Dustin. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Donald Calvin will officiate. Honoring Mrs. Paquette’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
