Oczepek, Geraldine, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at The Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. Age 86 years. Daughter of the late John and Regina (Nowaczyk) Klenoski, Geraldine was born August 5, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Edward F. Oczepek on November 30, 1946. He predeceased her September 8, 2010. Geraldine was a member of St. Josaphat Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed traveling, making ornaments. She also was an avid sports fan of the Tigers, Red Wings and The Saginaw Gears. Surviving are one daughter, one son and their spouses, Diana and Dale Brasseur, Royal Oak; John and Susan Oczepek, Saginaw; three granddaughters, Erin and John Dolbee, Jennifer and Randy Miller, Amy and Ed Vancise; four great-grandchildren, Clarissa, Natalie, Hannah , Patrick and an angel on the way; a special care giver, Amanda Espinoza; several nieces and nephews. Geraldine was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Emma; and her brother Floyd Klenoski. A special thank you to The Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth and Hospice of Hope for the special care and attention they had given. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josaphat Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00-7:00 p.m. and on Monday at St. Josaphat Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. St. Josaphat Rosary Altar Society will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Sunday and a Vigil Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
